Jeff Lang: "About a month ago, there was an auto show in Rice Park displaying an assortment of Mercedes Benzes. We were enjoying the show and came across a family having a picnic on the grounds, when I noticed they had a new golden retriever puppy. I have the same breed and asked if I could pet their dog. The owners were very gracious; I enjoyed a brief chat with them and took a couple of pictures of their puppy. I thought nothing of that event since that time, until I recently had the film developed and saw what a wonderful picture I had of their pet. I have no way of contacting this family and was wondering if you could run a small blurb in the Bulletin Board section of your paper with the photo of their dog, inviting them to contact me through your paper."
Later that day, we heard from Bob Kammann: "Please forward my e-mail address and thanks to Jeff Lang. I would love to get a copy of the picture of our growing golden retriever. What a wonderful surprise to see a picture of our dog Sadie, who has now doubled in both size and mischief. One of the biggest joys of having a puppy is being able to read the paper between her 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. walks. Sadie received a little extra kibble this morning on her second walk; being a star and all may take some more energy. Attached is a more current picture of Sadie."
